National Institute of Social Defence (NISD),
is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice
and Empowerment, Government of India.
The Institute is dedicated to developing
and facilitating comprehensive, effective and specialized
interventions in the area of Social Defence.
NISD functions as an advisory body for
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government
of India and Resource and Training Centre of Excellence
in the field of Social Defence.
NISD is going to participate in the Ministry`s Exhibition to be held at Valluvar Kottam Arangam (Auditorium), Near Independence Day Park , Nungambakkam, Chennai from 27-29 August 2008. All the apex organizations of MSJE shall be participating at the exhibition. Assistive Devices will also be distributed on this occasion.
NISD is organizing “One day National Consultation Meet on Safe guarding the Rights of Elderly in India” on 28-08-2008 in association with ANUGRAHA at Scope Auditorium, New Delhi.
