Orientation program for newly recruited PMU members for MSJE at NISD office, June 1-17, 2020.

 The National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) is conducting an orientation programme for a batch of 15 newly recruited PMU members for the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), apart from the existing 6 PMU members for NISD. The programme, which will be on till June 17, is being organized at NISD’s new office in Dwarka which became fully operational from June 1. The inaugural session began with Dr. Veerendra Mishra, Director, NISD, welcoming the PMU members on board and familiarizing them with what entails in the programme for them. “You all are young and come from the best of institutes across the country, so naturally, we have high expectations from you,” he told the PMU members.   

This was followed by the arrival of Mr. R. Subrahmanyam, Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, who gave his valuable suggestions to the team. “The coming of this PMU heralds a change in the ministry. We are looking at PMU coming as a transformatory event for the ministry,” he said to the new joinees as he encouraged them to be at their efficient best during their stint at the ministry.
Other noted names at the inaugural session included Ms Radhika Chakravarthy, Joint Secretary, MSJE; Ms Upma Srivastava, Addl Secretary, MSJE; Ms Kalyani Chadha, Joint Secretary, MSJE; and Mr K. Narayan, Managing Director, National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC).
The 15 new members and 6 teammates from PMU NISD will jointly attend the orientation programme at NISD building in Dwarka and will have sessions from senior officials from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
